The Quotable C.S. Lewis
Herman Wouk’s Marjorie Morningstar sits at the top of my list of favorite re-readables. I love this novel for so many reasons: The era and glamorous locales it immerses me in. The author’s intimate knowledge of his fascinating characters. The tremendous, fundamental truths explored within an enthralling story.
How about you? Which books do you love to read over and over, finding new layers of meaning and fresh aha moments every time? I’d love to hear about your faves today.
P.S. I’m excited to have recently discovered novelist Carla Neggers, who is actually multi-multi-published and a bestselling author to boot, but was new to me. Yes, obviously I’m a little late to this party. I’ll be featuring my review of her latest, Declan’s Cross, next week, but meanwhile wanted to give you a heads-up about something that’s going on today, September 27 at 12 noon PT–a BookTrib Live Chat with Carla Neggers. During the Chat you can:
- Ask Carla questions directly
- Win a free copy of Declan’s Cross
