Something New! Celebrate Beauty Bookmarks + giveaway
You may have already noticed something new on my blog. A bookmark! See it? (Scroll down…it’s on the right). Let me take just a minute here to tell you more.
I’m delighted to partner with As You Wish Design to offer you these custom-designed bookmarks. Each one is hand-stamped with “celebrate beauty” to remind you to celebrate beauty wherever it is found. Each bookmark is topped with a crystal dangle; additional charms (such as the Tree of Life, shown) may be added to make your bookmark unique to you.

But here’s the best part: For each bookmark sold, 20% will be donated to World Vision to fight for girls and women. World Vision is a Christian relief and humanitarian organization dedicated to working with communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice. Your purchase of this bookmark helps girls and women like the ones featured in my upcoming debut novel, Her Memory of Music — those subjected to abuse, child labor, sex trafficking, early marriage, and other offenses.
With gift-giving season upon us, I would also suggest that one would make a great gift for a mom, grad, sister, or any special friend who loves to read.
As a bonus to my blog readers, if you purchase a bookmark by May 31, I’ll enter your name in a drawing for a print copy of the beautiful book, He Walks Among Us: Encounters with Christ in a Broken World, by World Vision president Rich Stearns and his wife, Renee, with gorgeous full-color photography by Jon Warren. Simply forward me a copy of your bookmark purchase receipt along with your mailing address {to katherine.scott.jones@gmail.com, subject line: bookmark}. I’ve been using this book as a part of my own devotional time, and it is truly a stunning book with a beautiful reminder of the truth that He truly does walk among those He loves.
My hope is that you’ll find these “celebrate beauty” bookmarks a way to bring beauty not only into your own life but into the lives of hurting girls and women as well.
