I’m gearing up for a book (re)launch

…and I’d love for you to be part of it.

Many of you helped launch my two books the first time. I’m so grateful for your love, help, and support!

One of the biggest things that helps an author are Amazon reviews.

(And so, by the way, if you’ve read either of my books and never left a review, would you consider doing so now? For Her Memory of Music, you can do that on Amazon, Goodreads, and Redemption Press. For Shadow Sister, these are the links for Amazon, Goodreads, and Redemption Press. For each book, you may use the same review (just copy and paste) for all three sites.)

If you’ve not read either Her Memory of Music or Shadow Sister and would like to be a part of the effort, please join my launch team!

Here’s how it’ll work:

• Starting March 21, purchase copies of both my books in eBook format from Amazon for 99 cents each. (On that day, the price will drop for this purpose.)
• Read at least 2-3 chapters of each book.
• Post a brief review for each book on Amazon, Goodreads, and my book page on Redemption Press website by April 4. (You can use the same review for all three sites, and I’ll supply links to all in subsequent emails.)

That’s it!

Why a relaunch?

A couple of reasons.

• I’ve made a few changes to both books since they first released, most notably to Shadow Sister, which includes a new cover.
• My new partnership with International Justice Mission motivates me to get my books into the hands of as many readers as possible, not only because I hope readers will love these stories, but because 100% of profits is donated to IJM. IJM is a global organization that protects people living in poverty from violence. Buy a book, protect a person.

FAQs

You may be asking–

• Why do I need to buy the eBooks from Amazon?
  • Verified purchases allow authors to more successfully leverage the power of Amazon’s algorithms. In order to make this constraint as painless as possible for my launch team, my publisher is dropping the eBook price to 99 cents for a 14-day period, starting March 21.
• I already have a print copy. Why do I need to buy an eBook?
  • If you’ve already purchased print copies and left reviews, you certainly don’t need to buy an eBook! But you may want to consider buying these updated eBook versions on the cheap, either to keep for yourself or to give away.
• What if I don’t have an e-Reader?
  • No worries! You can install the free Kindle app on your phone (available for Android or iPhone). I love this option, actually. While I will forever and always be a print-book girl, sometimes it’s nice to have the portability of a book on my phone. That means it’s always with me and available to read in any pocket of time I find myself with.
• How do I post a review?
  • I’ll soon be posting specific instructions and best practices. In short, I’d love for you to leave a brief, 2-3 sentence review on Amazon, Goodreads, and the Redemption Press website telling why you liked the book (or didn’t). Even negative reviews are helpful because they help steer away readers who aren’t a part of my targeted audience. And those who are a part of my targeted readership tend to trust reviews more when they represent views across the board.
• I’ve already read your books and reviewed them on Amazon. Is there another way I can help?
  • Definitely! You could help by passing this invitation along to a fiction-loving friend whom you think might enjoy being a part of this launch.
